Luckily Mom was feeling better this morning and my family and I went for my eye evaluation. We don't have the blood panel results back yet, but I aced my eye exam. :-D Yups the Prednisozne got rid of the inflammation in my eyes and the Anti-Rejection meds are doing their job. The blood panel will let us know if the dosage needs to be adjusted or if we can leave everything as is.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. We pups are blessed to have the family's we have. I'm thankful for my pawrents and the dogtors who helped me to regain my sight. I'm thankful for my Mom who gives me my med.s every day and watches over me so carefully.
I'm a pup who loves to play and honestly hates to be ignored. This translates to my family and I play together a lot. My favorite inside games all revolve around my yellow Kong Squeaky balls. A few weeks ago as Mom and I were playing, I stretched out my paw to snatch the ball away from Mom, I felt my elbow hurting me something fierce. I quickly jerked my leg back, sat down and gave Mom a look that said, Well that sure did hurt". After a few seconds I resumed playing like nothing had happened. This happened again a couple of days ago.
My Mom commits everything that pertains to my health and well being to memory. Anytime something odd occurs twice it gets checked out by my dogtor. You pups know what I'm going to say next. That's right, ~sigh~ the folks had the vet take a look at my entire right front leg, shoulder, elbow the entire limb. The x-rays told it all. I've got the beginnings of some joint inflammation in my elbow. My dogtor said with this getting caught so early it may not get terribly serious. So I'm now on a joint supplement (Actistatin) for dogs. There's the slight possibility that I may need something for pain if this doesn't do the trick. We're not expecting that to be the case though.
Everyone here is breathing a sigh of relief. Dad's feeling much better. I got a good report from my dogtor. Mom's feeling a bit better. She almost slept all night last night.
Yesterday evening I knew Mom was feeling better. She sat down at the computer and starting working on a picture. I smiled, as I knew I didn't have to worry about my her anymore.
Nothing can compare to a dogs love for his family. My folks talk about how much happiness and joy I add to their lives, but in all honestly we pups know it's a two way street. Our families are not only our happiness and joy, they're our lives. We were created to adore our hoomans though sickness and health. Here's hoping after this my folks stay well awhile. This lying on the sofa looking concerned is getting old. BOL
Love, Molly and my Mom
Here's the piccy Mom worked on the other night.
Enjoy...
