Where we live is kind of rural and we like it that way. I enjoy taking my human on walks through the woods and fields around the house in the fall. (Personally I don't think she'd do much hiking if it wasn't for me). I can lie in my window perch and bark at deer and wild turkeys in my front yard.
In the summer there's not a lot of walking or hiking. I spend the dog days of summer in my back yard playing in my sandbox, cooling off in my pool and barking at the squirrels that dare to try and invade my empire. It's a nice life.
