I Molly being a Fast and Furriest little Dachshund sometimes have to be told that I have a lot to be thankful for. Mom says the older I get the more I will understand that it's the little things in life that we end up appreciating or missing the most.
Understandably, I am truly thankful for my pawrents and my home here in country. I love that I can walk out my door and walk for miles through the woods and fields, smell for critters and never run into another human.
I love the scent of the leaves on the ground in the fall. I love hearing the sound a flock of sparrows make as they take to wing after being startled by my walk down our drive.
Even though I'm not as old as my Mom, I do agree that it's the simple things that we miss the most when they are gone. There have been times I haven't felt the best. I'm thankful for the love and care that I received to where my health was restored, and I could once again be the Fast and Furriest little weenie girl that I truly am.
I'm thankful for our furiends and friends that lift our spirits when we are down, and share in our triumphs and trials.
We hope you all have a lovely Thanksgiving, remembering to give thanks for the years blessings, remembering loved ones now gone, and being thankful for present family and friends.
Life is indeed made richer by the simple things.
